Short Report translated by Andrea Maniero (thanks Andrea!) from Italy this past weekend:
Today was the first day of the sixth edition of *Pianeta Amiga*.
Take a look at a brief report of what could be seen.
Regarding the Pegasos, it was possible to see it working with MorphOS, and
therefore to notice the speed of the machine and admire the really small
and compact motherboard, but still complete with everything needed
including a separate CPU board.
AmigaOne was shown behind the glass at *Virtual Works* stand, sad to note
the absence of the BIOS flash and, as a consequence, the impossibility to
see it in function.
The BeOS user group was actively gaining the attention with the usage of
very interesting applications for the famous PC operating system. Actually
BeOS finds itself a quite difficult situation since Be Inc., who was
responsible for the development, went bankrupt.
Among the various stands Elena Novaretti attracted attention showing her
Amiga and her MorphOS program used to create very high quality fractal
images thanks to an innovative usage of the colour palette, never seen on
this kind of applications.
*Bitplane* was present with the latest iussue of the print magazine
including the CD and an additional free CD (Amiga.it 2).
*Darkage* was showing Supreme, a videotitling application, of very high
qualitative level, additionally the program was shown working on a PC
running WinUAE.
At the Epic Interactive stand it was possible to buy the new Highway
board, that allows to connect USB peripherals to Amiga, with the board the
USB stack Poseidon is supplied.
