@bbrv:

Indeed, very nice targets!

@ 12

MOS runs quite well on low spec devices while other systems require more horse power to offer the user a convenient experience.

You need less ram, less storage capacity, less cpu cycles to do the basic things.

For cpu intensive things MOS cannot mulitply the cpu cycles indeed, but a small footprint is helpful to provide the hungry application the resources.

An Efika based system can be very cheap, small, energy saving and/or portable (4U2).

An Efika based system will not be the heart of your computing world (i.e. it is not the unit which does critical things) therefore the limitations of MOS (lack of MP our multiuser) are not too important for that device, but the advatages (most important here: speed, speed, speed!) are quite big.

What shall this dead talking mean?
Why are C64 and Amiga dead?
Were they ever alive?
Yesterday I switched my Amigaa on and it still worked flawlessly.
Why do you think it is dead?

>most interesting of course would be the Efika for Morphos.

Please be more verbose.
Why would Efika buyers want MorphOS (apps?) - Why would MorphOS users buy Efika?

Err... maybe its just not complete yet. I can say from first hand experience that MOS "1.5" does take advantage of Altivec.

Congrats to Genesi on another nice developer program. IT seems MOS devs need a reason to completely port MOS to these device - most interesting of course would be the Efika for Morphos.

Good logic. Make software, tell people about it, don't release it, then insult "whiners".

Considering MorphOS doesn't even support AltiVec...which has been around for how many years?

Of course it does, it's just because of whiners like you why MorphOS Devs don't care to release it :D
